The
most comprehensive exhibition of works by the great Norwegian artist
Edvard Munch has opened at the NGV. His images
of existential dread, anxiety, loneliness and the complex emotions
of human sexuality have become icons of our era, including The Scream,
Anxiety, Jealousy, The Kiss, Madonna, Vampire, and The Dance of
Life. It displays 87 powerful works that span the artist's entire
oeuvre.

Lectures
These lectures provide an insightful overview of some of the well-known
images of Munch’s early work and an introduction to the images
he created from the early 1900s.
