  Kitty Kantilla (c1928–2003) was one of Australia’s most remarkable Indigenous artists, celebrated for her innovation, unique style and mastery of a range of mediums. This major retrospective shows the breadth and beauty of her work.

  This exhibition will feature iconic artworks by internationally renowned artists such as Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Roy Lichtenstein, Gilbert & George, and Jeff Koons. While the majority of the presentation will be drawn from the holdings of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, select masterpieces from other Guggenheim collections in Venice, Bilbao, and Berlin will also be featured. The exhibition will introduce works by artists who have never been seen before in Melbourne, and some of the Guggenheim’s most recent acquisitions will be premiered.

NGV Members Exclusive: Making a Scene – Design at The Phantom of the Opera and NGV Exhibitions
Join Lats Hoffman, Associate Scenic Designer for The Phantom of the Opera, as he discusses the visual and artistic elements of the production and gives a unique insight into the design of the world’s most loved musical.
Daryl West-Moore, Manager, Design at the National Gallery of Victoria will then speak on the visual and practical aspects of exhibition design for the international blockbuster series - Melbourne Winter Masterpieces. The series has included The Impressionists, Dutch Masters and Guggenheim Collection: 1940s to Now.
