Super Bodies: Heroic fashion from the 80s

This exhibition pays tribute to the powerful, body–conscious and downright sexy styles that dominated fashion in the 1980s. Never before in the history of dress had women’s fashion combined wide, padded shoulders with curvaceous busts and tight waists to create a look that was as athletic as it was seductive.

NGV Artbeat Party: Super Bodies
Artbeat Members and their guests are invited to join us for an exclusive party. See the exhibition and enjoy wine, canapés and entertainment. Roger Leong, Curator, International Fashion & Textiles and Paola Di Triocchio, Assistant Curator will offer a brief introduction to the exhibition.
