Tim Storrier

Capricorn approach invokes the romantic sublime, a notion of which is that humankind is rendered insignificant before the awe-inspiring grandeur and profundity of nature. The destructive and regenerative power of nature is implied by the terrifying beauty of the fire and the tenuous position of the sapling tree. Storrier’s vast painting suggests the astrological moment of summer solstice when the sun enters the tenth sign of the zodiac.
