In this photograph the bent poses appear devotional. A spiritual implication is also evident in the title, the word 'hosanna' meaning a shout of adoration. Without delineating specific characters, Cameron suggests that we are observing the Holy Family and that this is a scene from the nativity.

Cameron's grandson, Archie, is the baby in this image.
