Annie Chinery (born 1851) was the daughter of Edward Chinery (M.D.) of Lymington. Lymington is still a ferry port from the English mainland to the Isle of Wight. Annie married Ewen Cameron in 1869. Julia Margaret Cameron adored Annie and wrote letters to friends praising her daughter-in-law's beauty and charm. However, the relationship soured when the Camerons settled in Ceylon in 1875 and Annie curbed her mother-in-law's financial extravagances.
