Visualising the Victorian Era

The revealing images by Julia Margaret Cameron represent important advances in the aesthetics of portrait photography bringing life and colour to both family members and many of the famous personalities associated with the Victorian era. These are complemented by an exhibition of paintings, drawings, prints, decorative arts and books from the 1850s to 1890s. Program includes presentation by guest lecturer, viewing of both exhibitions (Victorian Photographs: Julia Margaret Cameron - Annals of My Glass House plus From the World of Beautiful Shadows) and breakfast.
