A large, rough scarab with head and clypeus almost triangular in shape, while the plates are represented by recesses cut into the surface. The prothorax is divided from the elytra by two incised lines and the wing cases are divided by three incised lines. There are two V-shapes in the outer upper corners of the elytra. The legs are plain and deeply cut.
The underside is decorated with four baboons shown in the position of adoration, two either side of a palm tree with notched stem and fronds.
