Physical description
The richly-coloured and patterned Macchia of voluminous and billowing form with a wide and wavy rim. It rests on a small, flat base. The basic blue colour of the form has been overlaid with vermilion, white and some yellow in a freely worked capillary-like pattern. The rim has an applied vermilion trail described by the artist as a 'lip wrap'
