Physical description
A bunch of what appears to be horse or yak’s hair is wrapped in one end which was meant to be inserted in a tube made of jade or similar stone and a metal fitting that is tied to an insignia spike surmounted by an ornament at the top of the crown of ceremonial hat of a court official. This hat ornament is wrapped in paper and stored in a case covered with red cloth inside and blue cloth outside with the label inscribed in Chinese.
