Tea gown outfit comprising, dress, half-slip and belt. Dress of cream silk with lace inserts, with blouson v-neck bodice and collar-like ruffle following neckline. Full sleeves with ruffle cuff and tiered skirt with soft gathering at waist and a short split at centre back of hemline. Fastened at centre back neckline with three loops and buttons. Overall design consists of silk panels combined with horizontal, vertical and diagonal straight edged, floral motif lace inserts to create patchwork effect. Scallop edge lace used to finish ruffle edges at cuffs, neck and skirt tier. The matching slip is in cream silk on an elastic waistband, with two hanging loops and a handfinished hem. The cummerbund-style belt is in matching cream silk, pleated from each end to form soft folds along its length and is fastened with the three metal hook and eyes.
