Physical description
The ankle length skirt on offer is hand woven from hand spun cotton thread. It was traditionally worn with a collarless shirt. The skirt is formed from four cylindrical bands of cloth sewn together to form one long cylinder. The skirt is decorated with warp ikat patterns in white resist on an indigo blue ground. The patterned areas are interspersed with bands of brown and white supplementary weft patterning.
