This boar's tusks necklace was created by Romney Ofair, similar to the one modelled by him in June 1999 at his village, Utukwaf, Tufi district, Oro province. Romney passed away in 2005. Romney was a highly respected 'custom' man in the Tufi district who often wore traditional clothes and was the creator of many items used in traditional ceremonies. The dance rattles are of candle nuts and the shells on the necklace are old wealth pieces.
