NGV Education Outreach Programs aim to increase student and teacher access to the NGV Permanent Collection and special exhibitions through off-site and online programs.The needs of regional, rural and remote schools are a particular focus for these programs.
Student Outreach Programs – off-site
Student outreach programs are designed in consultation with individual schools based on student needs and curriculum requirements. Programs may incorporate illustrated talks, lectures and workshops. Schools in rural and regional areas may consider combining with other schools. Fees apply.
Professional learning outreach programs – off-site
We invite primary and secondary curriculum coordinators, faculty heads and network coordinators to contact NGV Educators to discuss professional learning programs tailored to the needs of your school, faculty or network. Sessions can be conducted at your school or other suitable location. Previous programs have included sessions focusing on the Gallery as resource for learning in visual arts and interdisciplinary learning. For example:
- War, conflict and peace across the AUSVELS domains of English, The Arts, History and Thinking Processes
- Identity across the VELS domains of The Arts, History, Personal learning, Civics and Citizenship
These sessions are available on request to suit your PL days. Fees apply.
