Macquarie Bank Contemporary Projects Gallery
Featuring the work of four Australian contemporary artists, this exhibition looks at the idea of a story as a means to explain our experience of the world. By drawing attention to some aspects of our immediate environment, both physical and cultural, Beata Batorowicz, Emily Floyd, Andrew McQualter and Luke Parker explore the notion that life masquerades as reality, and through their work they provide us with alternative versions. Their tales are laden with meaning, which is both challenging and entertaining. Works on display mimic the real world by assuming the guise of maquettes, models, wall drawings and toys.
The room brochure for this exhibition is available from the NGV Shop.
The Contemporary Projects Gallery is generously supported by Macquarie Bank.
