Paris in the 19th century was one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world. French art of the time reflected the sophisticated nature of this society.
International and Australian experts will deliver a series of papers examining the work of individual artists such as Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and the Australian painter John Russell, in the context of The Impressionists: Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay.
