Study of pre 1970 artists

Examine how the events of the French Revolution affected the art and artists of the time. Explore how the key figures, ideas and events of the Revolution were depicted by artists. Discover the work of artists such as Jacques- Louis David, Antoine-Jean Gros, Robert Lefèvre, François Gérard, Jean-Baptiste Regnault and the exquisite botanical illustrations of Pierre Joseph Redouté.
