This education resource accompanies the exhibition Re-view (2010) which documented the evolution of photography from the 1840s onwards through some of the best-loved and most remarkable works housed in the NGV’s photographic collection. Artists represented included William Henry Fox Talbot, Julia Margaret Cameron, Alfred Steiglitz, Edward Weston, Imogen Cunningham, Man Ray, László Moholy-Nagy, Martin Parr and Yee I-Lann. The resource offers students the opportunity to learn about historical and contemporary photographic materials and techniques and key photographic movements through a series of questions and activities. A glossary of terms is also included.
