India is truly remarkable and inspirational, filled with colour, vibrancy, magic and a mix of complicated odours and culture. My artwork was influenced by the Indian lifestyle and associated paraphernalia, including religious iconography. I travelled there in 2009 and wanted to relive India through my book. It is a compendium showing important events which occur in a world I call Aidnia. The events were inspired by the creation stories in Hinduism and the pollution which has tragically overrun India. The materials used include spices, textured papers and henna which enhance the sense of fragility.
