The human eye cannot see in real-time the exciting and intriguing shapes, textures and colours created by liquids that last just a split second. I set out to produce a folio that captured these truly ephemeral moments. All the photos involved the use of a single external off-camera flash, controlled with white cardboard to bounce the light in just the right direction. I experimented with a range of liquids including milk, water, food dye, paint and wine. I want people to explore the photo in detail after the first glimpse.
