This series is about the fictional Republic of Talbania, which is under the control of an oppressive regime that has recently seized power. I looked at propaganda by a number of real and fictional totalitarian states as inspiration, in order to explore how such governments use the artwork of propaganda imagery to exploit and subjugate their own populace. The process I used was entirely digital, using a pressure-sensitive drawing tablet laptop along with a drawing program to create all images from scratch.
Advice to new students
Listen to your teacher, even if you don't agree with them. They might have ideas about developing your work that you didn't consider.
