A poetic impression of change
Jompet Kuswidananto shares insight into the inspiration and meaning behind The Cortege of the Third Realm no. 2 (2012). He describes his perception of Indonesia’s constantly changing culture as a parade or carnival of ghost figures. Jompet’s work is inspired by local issues in Indonesia but he also considers these issues to be part of a wider interconnection to realities elsewhere.
