On 6 October, the NGV celebrated the opening of The Joseph Brown Collection at NGV Australia at Federation Square. More than 150 paintings, sculptures and works on paper, collected by respected Melbourne art dealer Dr Joseph Brown, can now be seen. This extraordinary $30 million collection is Dr Brown's gift to the people of Victoria, and represents many key works by some of the country's finest artists.

Edvard Munch: The Frieze of Life is the first comprehensive exhibition of Norway's most famous artist in Australia. Munch's The Scream is one of the great iconic works of the 20th century – and that is only part of the magic. Do not miss this wonderful exhibition which opened on 13 October.
