Date: this Friday, 26 November
Time: 9.30am (registration and refreshments) until 5.30pm (drinks and unveiling of major new gift from the Felton Bequest)
Venue: Clemenger BBDO Auditorium, NGV International, 180 St Kilda Road, Melbourne (enter through Gallery's north entrance at Arts Centre forecourt)
Cost: $30

In the late 18th-early 19th century, European artists discovered the
challenge, inspiration, and joys of painting out-of-doors. At NGV
International, a new exhibition looks at the plein-air movement, and the
works which are characterised by a realistic approach with artists
responding directly to nature. Don't miss Plein-air painting in Europe
1780-1850, until 16 January, 2005. Admission fees apply.
