The exhibition pays tribute to Bill Henson, tracking his career and development as an artist over the past 30 years. Says the NGV's Senior Curator of Photography, Dr Isobel Crombie: "I have known Henson and his work since I began as a curator in 1980, so I obviously have seen a lot of his photographs. But what makes this show particularly exciting is that it is the first time that I – and all of us, for that matter – have had the chance to consider the breadth of his work and to see it in context."
