Picasso: Love & War 1935–1945
Opens Friday!

One of the most anticipated events of the year, Picasso: Love & War 1935–1945 opens at NGV International this Friday, 30 June. This third instalment of the highly successful Melbourne Winter Masterpieces series examines one of the 20th century’s most passionate and tumultuous artistic relationships between Pablo Picasso and his lover and muse, Dora Maar. Curated by leading Picasso specialist Anne Baldassari, Director of the Musée Picasso, this exhibition includes over 300 works from public and private collections and is exclusive to the National Gallery of Victoria.

Waterfront City presents The Leonardo da Vinci Machines

1 July - 1 October 2006

Spend the day immersed in culture. After visiting Picasso: Love & War 1935-1945, explore The Leonardo da Vinci Machines at the Docklands. This exhibition is from the Museum of Leonardo da Vinci in Italy and displays 64 interactive models of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous machines, constructed by Florentine artisans and based on da Vinci’s famous codices.
