There’s plenty for kids to do at the National Gallery of Victoria. Pick up a trail and navigate the Gallery, enjoy free holiday activities, join a workshop or participate in Artcart sessions.

Family Trails and Activities

NGV Arty Party

Want to bring out the emerging artist in the birthday child and their guests? Then an Arty Party is for you! Choose a theme and we will tailor a party that includes a gallery activity, handson art making in the studio and a bite to eat with a special kids party menu. Themes include: Art You Wear–Badge Making and Making Faces–Mask Making. Conditions apply. Suitable for ages 5+ years.

School Holiday Care Groups

We cater for the needs of holiday care groups on selected days. Sessions run for 2 hours and include an NGV orientation and hands-on workshop activity.
Dates & Times 10am and 1.30pm by appointment.
Cost $10 per student, minimum group size 20 children (conditions apply).

NGV Kids Books & Other Products

Cheerful, bright and engaging ways to introduce children to art. Available from the NGV Shop online and at NGV International and NGV Australia.
