The artist represents an important site called Minyerri in Alawa country, which he has broken up and flattened out into strongly outlined blocks of colour. The site includes caves containing paintings, indicated by the dark red jagged shapes on shocking pink at the top of the composition. The purplish blue rectangle indicates water and the yellow section, sand, leading to a further stretch of red earth country. The quiet snake passed through this inhospitable terrain but did not create anything, as shown by the absence of stippling.
