This is Lajarri, Bertha's traditional country, which is south-east of Bidyadanga where she now lives.

As a child she travelled with her parents across this country. This is when the country is full of water in the wet season. At this time there is much mayi (bush tucker) and the country is very beautiful.

This place has a special tree with an old name that cannot be said. It is a very good nut tree.
