The artist represents Wakalpuka, north of Kiwirrkurra, country that she knows intimately because she spent much of her early life there.
She depicts its topographical features and sources of wood and food, including seeds such as mangarta and warlku that are ground into a paste for making damper, and nyuwari, a blackberry.
The irregular massings of colour burst out of a darker ground to invoke the fruiting of plants and seeding of grasses.
