Tennant Creek is a township located in the Northern Territory on the main highway that connects Darwin and Alice Springs.
In 1994 Julalikari CDEP Women's Art & Crafts Program was established with Alison Alder appointed as first co-ordinator. Artists, including Peggy Napangardi Jones were introduced to a range of modern mediums, including acrylic painting on canvas, various forms of printmaking, silk painting and pottery.
