Introduction
To appreciate Picasso’s art from 1935 – 1945, it helps to know something about the development of his artistic career over time and the Surrealist Movement with which many of his friends were associated.
Dora Maar is less well-known than Picasso, but her intimate and artistic involvement with him was a major influence upon the works shown in the Exhibition.
