A Cabinet for New Parenthood
Presented by Guest, Riggs with Layla Cluer

Parents Room, Collins Place

Free entry

LAUNCH: Saturday 17 March, 3–4pm

A Cabinet for New Parenthood is an exhibition that addresses how design can affect experiences of parenthood. In a vitrine adjacent to the Parents Rooms of Collins Place, A Cabinet for New Parenthood presents drawings and photographs that reflect how the culture of parenting in Australia is embedded in the design of the city. The exhibition uses the study of baby change rooms as a starting point to speculate on their civic potential: How can design make parenthood less isolating?

This exhibition is supported by the Melbourne School of Design at The University of Melbourne.
