Behind the Scenes: Art Book Tour

In an exclusive behind the scenes session, Cathy Leahy, Senior Curator, Prints and Drawings, NGV will take a limited number of guests through key artist books in the NGV Collection. In two repeat sessions, Behind the Scenes: Art Book Tour will allow visitors to view artist books from conceptual artists of the 1960s and 70s, such as Sol LeWitt, John Baldessari, and Ed Ruscha.

Cathy Leahy, Senior Curator, Prints and Drawings, NGV 
Cathy Leahy has been Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Victoria since 2001. She came to the NGV in 1990 after having started her career in the International Print department at the National Gallery of Australia in 1984 and having undertaken the prestigious Harold Wright Scholarship for the study of prints and drawings at the British Museum in London in 1989. She has curated numerous exhibitions on the NGV’s works on paper collection and has published on Albrecht Dürer, Rembrandt van Rijn, British watercolours, contemporary British prints and contemporary Australian prints and drawings.  Recent exhibitions and publications include William Blake, 2014 and John Wolseley – Heartlands and Headwaters, 2015.
