E.g.etal gallery presents an evening with contemporary jewellery artist Carl Noonan. Carl’s jewellery work utilises laser-cut titanium scaffolds cast with silver and gold, filed back to reveal the skeleton beneath. The metal appears to float and pool inside the ring, marked by a jagged transition into negative space. See work in progress that charts the creation of a ring from start to finish, and hear Carl discuss the development of his innovative technique, including conceptual and technical considerations.
