Spend your school holidays developing new skills, meeting like-minded peers, and getting to know one of Melbourne’s deadliest artists. Learn how street art has influenced many contemporary Indigenous artists and how to create your own stencils in this workshop for people aged 13-17 years.

Artist and Facilitator: Josh Muir is a Melbourne-based artist. He identifies as being of Yorta Yorta, Gunditjmara, Dja Dja Wurrung, Wada Wurrung and Barkindji descent. Josh explores his personal history and cultural heritage through his vibrant art, including his animated work Still here, which was projected onto the façade of NGV International for the 2016 White Night festival.

Meet: Information Desk, Ground Level. Please arrive promptly for 10.30am start.

Eat: There will be a 20 minute break for you to enjoy a lunch from home or purchase refreshments from the Gallery café or other cafes in the atrium.

Wear: You may wish to wear clothing that is comfortable for art-making and easy to wash.
