The effects of colour and pattern on textile surfaces have always intrigued me. In my work I try … to illustrate a premise that working with dyes, screens and fabrics continues to challenge me, in my thoughts, in my professional work and in my environment… I have no rules or secret techniques. I have ideas about textiles and how we engage with materials that have been crafted and decorated for millennia, and which continue to converge and blur the boundaries between new media and craft traditions.
