Artist statement
The Frequency range is a series of sculptural seating forms intended for use in public spaces. Users can sit on the curving surface of each form in a number of ways. Singularly, each piece offers a different way to engage in comfort. As a group, the abstract forms create rhythmic compositions as the line of each shape plays off the next. Envisioned as a solution for foyers, galleries, arcades and shopping precincts, Frequency forms provide an opportunity for the architect and interior designer to creatively engage in the seats' aesthetic potential. For the end user Frequency intends to bring an element of delight and surprise into the realm of public seating.
