In 1976 The Art Foundation of Victoria (now called the NGV Foundation) was established to raise funds for the acquisition of works of art. Many generous and visionary individuals have supported the NGV through the Foundation since that time. In recent years the Foundation has fostered the development of two supporter groups for Indigenous and Contemporary Art and is delighted to sponsor the formation of a supporter group for Asian Art.

Supporters of Asian Art has been established within the Foundation to continue to strengthen and enrich the Asian collections by gathering together a group of interested individuals and companies who through either their background or collecting passions, are willing to contribute financial support to this important area of the Gallery’s collection.
Supporters of Asian Art has a commitment to promote and cultivate a greater understanding and appreciation of Asian art and culture. The focus of the group is to secure major works of art through gifts and cash donations. All funds raised through the program will be used for the acquisition of Asian works of art.
We invite your participation in this important and exciting initiative.
