An Incomplete World
Works from the UBS Art Collection
Developed by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, this education resource accompanies An incomplete world: Works from the UBS Art Collection (2007–2008). This exhibition offered perspectives on the nature of contemporary life and the ways in which we live in it through artworks created over the last four decades. These works were grouped into three thematic areas: portraits and people, mapping place, and natural and created environments. The resource explores these themes through nine works by Lucian Freud, Yasumasa Morimura, Gerhard Richter, Olivo Barbieri, Philip Guston, Roy Lichtenstein, Tony Cragg, Andrea Gursky and Naoya Hatakeyama. Each work is accompanied by a series of learning activities and questions.
