NGV Supporters of Indigenous Art

 

NGV Supporters of Indigenous Art was formed in mid 2001 in order to broaden support for the Indigenous collection of the National Gallery of Victoria.

NGV Supporters of Indigenous Art brings together a group of enthusiasts and collectors of Indigenous art. This group meets with curators, writers,scholars, NGV executive staff and artists to view, discuss and celebrate Indigenous art. SIA also exists to provide the NGV with a fighting fund for acquisitions to enable us to maintain the strength of the Gallery’s Indigenous collection in an increasingly competitive world. SIA is the first support group of its kind at the NGV and offers SIA members the following:
