Two spectacular NGV buildings – The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia at Federation Square, and NGV International on St Kilda Road – offer many locations for your event.

 

NGV International

Pass by Sir Roy Grounds’ original water wall, to Leonard French’s stunning stained glass ceiling which provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable gala dinner, grand wedding receptions or large scale cocktail events in The Great Hall. Federation Court, with its glass dome ceiling complements The Great Hall for pre dinner drinks. The Garden Restaurant, which is surrounded by windows looking out in to the beautifully landscaped gardens of the NGV, is ideal for corporate breakfasts, memorable wedding receptions or intimate dinners.

Australia’s most visionary art gallery, NGV International is the ideal setting for any event. The spectacular design incorporates a unique series of flowing spaces; there are also numerous side galleries for private receptions. A private viewing of permanent gallery spaces or temporary exhibitions can also be arranged in conjunction with your catered event.

All events at the NGV are managed by Peter Rowland Catering. From the moment you describe your vision to Peter Rowland, you’ll delight in the relaxed feeling of confidence that comes from dealing with people who know their job, and are committed to delivering you the best possible result. Your Peter Rowland team will ensure your function is as individual as your needs and as successful as your aspirations.  Whether it be a breakfast meeting, a cocktail party, a wedding celebration or a gala dinner, we can cater for your needs. 

On Tuesdays*, NGV International is closed to the public and is available for lunch functions and conferences.

The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia

NGV Australia is the world’s first public art museum dedicated solely to Australian art. Offer your guests an unforgettable experience by hosting your special event in the contemporary surrounds of the award winning Federation Square.

Generous spaces are available for cocktail parties and dinners on the ground, middle or upper foyers, and all spaces can be utilised in conjunction with private viewing of galleries.

On Mondays*, NGV Australia is closed to the public and is available for lunch functions and conferences.
