Facilities

Toilets and Facilities

Toilets and infant room: Male and female amenities are available on all levels of both buildings. Please look for signs or ask one of NGV's security staff. An infant room for parents and children is also provided on Ground level.

Information Desks

Information Desks are located in the Foyer on the Ground Level of NGV International and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. Our friendly staff are happy to assist you with any queries or bookings.

Cloakrooms

Visitors are asked to leave their umbrellas, large bags and packages in the Cloakroom on the Ground Level.

Theatres and auditoriums

NGV hosts seminars, symposiums, guest lectures and films at on-site theatre spaces. The NGV Theatre at Ian Potter Centre:NGV Australia and The Clemenger BBDO Auditorium at NGV International are available for booking. See Venue Hire for more information.

Family Facilities

  • Prams and Baby strollers are welcome in the galleries, but not on the escalators. You may also collapse strollers and store them in the cloakrooms, which are located on the Ground Floor of both galleries.
  • Baby backpacks are welcome at all times. 
  • Pram access via lifts and ramps is available at both Galleries. 
  • Baby changing and breast feeding rooms are located near the Women's and Men's restrooms near the Robert Raynor Gallery, Ground Level, NGV International and near the Theatre, Ground Level, The Ian Potter Centre:NGV Australia.  
  • Restrooms for NGV Kids corner are located Ground Level, The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia.
