Neville French

Neville French has been working with porcelain since 1976, when he completed a Diploma of Fine Art at Ballarat CAE. His work has evolved through his exploration of vessels as metaphors for place and environment. From 1982 to 2012 French taught ceramics at Ballarat University while continuing his own practice and study; in 2000 he completed a Master of Fine Arts at RMIT, Melbourne.

French has exhibited in many group and solo shows throughout his career, most recently in collaboration with the artist Belinda Fox at Beaver Galleries, Canberra, in 2012, and at Arthouse Gallery, Sydney, in 2011. His work is represented in many Australian state and regional gallery collections and in numerous international collections, including those of the City of Inagawa, Japan, and the Grassi Museum, Leipzig, Germany.

French is represented by Mossgreen Galleries, Melbourne, Beaver Galleries, Canberra, and Galerie Rosenhauer, Göttingen, Germany.
