Titania Henderson completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Ceramics at RMIT, Melbourne, in 2004. At the same time she established her own studio and began a journey of experimentation with bone china and French Limoges porcelain bodies. The finely crafted elements of Henderson’s work constantly push the boundaries of the medium, addressing subtleties of surface texture and spatial relationships.
Soon after completing her degree, Henderson was represented by Christine Abrahams Gallery, Melbourne, and held her first solo exhibition in 2007. She is now represented by Karen Woodbury Gallery, Melbourne, and in 2010 held a solo exhibition, The Other.
Henderson has participated in numerous group shows and awards in Australia and overseas, including the 54th Concorso Internazionale Della Ceramica d’Art, 2005, Faenza, Italy, the Taiwan Ceramics Biennale, Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum, 2008, and as a finalist in the 9th International Ceramics Festival, 2011, Mino, Japan. Her work is held in the collections of the Museo Internazionale Della Ceramiche, Faenza, Italy, the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum, Taiwan, and the NGV.
