Destiny Deacon in the Classroom

Thu 28 May, 3.30pm–5pm

What opportunities does the work of Destiny Deacon create for teaching visual art and Australian history, and developing intercultural understanding? Ahead of the forthcoming exhibition DESTINY, join NGV Educators to explore this question in a Virtual Professional Learning Program for teachers. Develop strategies for using Destiny Deacon’s work to unpack ideas and themes related to social, historical and political issues in Australian history and culture.

Please note: This program follows on from the NGV online event ‘Behind the art of Destiny Deacon’ on Wed 27 May. Participants must attend both events, and will be sent the link for both sessions with the booking confirmation.
