Do you have a flair for fashion and design? Young people aged 13–17 are invited to spend time with like-minded young people and feed their artistic side these school holidays. Participate in a 3 hour workshop led by Melbourne creatives, Ramona and Beck from handmadelife and learn textile techniques and make fashion accessories inspired by exhibition, 200 Years of Australian Fashion.
Inspired by the print and pattern design of Sarah Thorn, Kara Baker and P.A.M., participants will learn from a range of simple repeat techniques and create their own textile design. Experimentation will be encouraged using a variety of blocks including wood, rubber, and vegetables to create a unique print design to be applied to their own t-shirt or bag.
The NGV wishes to acknowledge the The Ullmer Family Foundation for their generous support of NGV Teens.
