Great Hall
Ground Level

Near the terracotta warriors, archaeologists discovered remains of a palace and gardens created for the First Emperor of China. There was also a riverbank surrounded by birds made of bronze.

These school holidays, children and families can visit the Great Hall and take part in a free drawing activity inspired by the First Emperor’s gardens and the art works on display in the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces 2019 exhibitions, Terracotta Warriors & Cai-Guo-Qiang.

Suitable for all ages, with parent or carer supervision.

The NGV Kids program is supported by The Truby and Florence Williams Charitable Trust, managed by Equity Trustees and Official Supplier, Canson Australia.
