EXHIBITION TIMES: 14 – 16 MAR, 11AM–6PM
‘Brave Street’ is a neighbourhood study; a design and architectural investigation into intentional neighbouring within the environment of a typical suburban street.
In collaboration with a diverse collective of local practitioners, thinkers and neighbours, we hope to extend our thinking of suburban interfaces and social environments. Where does architecture end and urban activism begin? Through this study, opportunities for positive interventions, contributions and transformations on a typical, speculative street, its houses and front gardens, will be presented as scaled architectural maquettes and essays. The collective of imaginations will form a brave new street.
Essays from: Leon van Schaik, Nigel Bertram, Emma Jackson, Tim O’Loan, Matiu Bush, ARM and Rob McGauran
