Concrete has been an integral part of our built environment since ancient times. Its particular qualities can allow surprising and daring forms in buildings become realised. In their turn, contemporary designers have been able to harness its innate qualities for new products, challenging our preconceptions of the primary material and capturing emotions through new and engaging work. Our installation will illustrate the inherent qualities of concrete and how designers can interact with it to make new embodiments of its potential as a tool for expression and functionality.
